…Holds Second Annual General Meeting In Abeokuta

The Progressive Heritage Foundation (PHF) has promised massive mobilisation to ensure the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) secures victory in Ogun State in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The group made this known while addressing members during its second Annual General Meeting (AGM), tagged “Progressive Family Festival,” held at the residence of former Governor, Olusegun Osoba, in Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta.

The event had in attendance, political leaders, and stakeholders, including APC governorship aspirant Iyabo Obasanjo, alongside members of the foundation drawn from across the three senatorial districts in the state.

While speaking to journalists, the State Coordinator of the Foundation, Comrade Clement Olubayo Adeniyi, said the group remains committed to mobilising support for the APC, stressing that its members are part of the party’s foundational structure.

According to him, the foundation comprises individuals from legacy parties such as ACN, AC, CPC, and SDP, who played key roles in the formation of the APC.

“As a forum, our primary focus is mobilisation. We have leaders above us, but at this level, our responsibility is to mobilise people across all senatorial districts and local governments. ”

He noted that although the party currently has multiple aspirants, members of the foundation would unite behind whoever emerges as the party’s candidate after the primaries.

“At the moment, they are all aspirants, but once a candidate is selected, we will all come together and support that person to ensure victory for the APC,” he added.

Also speaking, the Central Youth Leader of the Foundation, Comrade Noheem Arowona, disclosed that over 1,000 members attended the meeting from across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State.

He said the strong turnout reflected the widespread presence and structure of the foundation across all local government areas in the state.

His words “Our key role is to mobilise and support the chosen candidates after the primaries.

This is essential for unity and effective participation as we work towards winning elections.”

Arowona, therefore revealed that the foundation remains active and committed to sustaining the progressive movement in Ogun State.
