Egbaland Rejoices as Alhaja Mojisola Fowewe is Installed as Oloriaje Obinrin Musulumi

It was a day of joy, honour, and celebration at the Egba Central Mosque, Kobiti, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Saturday, as the Chief Executive Officer of Mafis Royal International Hotel, Alhaja Mojisola Fowewe, was formally installed as the Oloriaje Obinrin Musulumi of Egbaland and Asiwaju Adinni Obinrin of Iporo Muslims.

The grand Islamic installation ceremony attracted eminent personalities, including the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Mohammad Sa’ad Bamgbola, Alhaja Fatimah Animashahun, Chief Mrs Feyi Solomon, top Islamic clerics, family members, friends, community leaders, and well-wishers, who gathered to honour a woman widely described as a beacon of faith and service to humanity.
In his address, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Mohammad Sa’ad Bamgbola, congratulated the new Oloriaje Obinrin Musulumi, describing the honour as well-deserved.
He noted that Alhaja Fowewe’s elevation “is a testament to her life of devotion, generosity, and commitment to the advancement of Islam, particularly among women.”
According to the cleric, “This installation is an endorsement of her strength of character, her leadership qualities, and her continuous support for the Muslim community in Egbaland and beyond. We pray that Almighty Allah will continue to guide her in her new role,” the Chief Imam prayed.
While speaking to journalists, the newly installed Oloriaje Obinrin Musulumi, Alhaja Mojisola Fowewe, expressed deep appreciation to Almighty Allah for preserving her life to witness the memorable occasion.
She also thanked the Chief Imam of Egbaland and the entire Muslim Ummah for finding her worthy of the dual honours, pledging to use her new positions to further promote Islamic values, unity, and the empowerment of Muslim women across Egbaland.
According to her, ” I am humbled and grateful for this recognition. It is a call to service and greater dedication. I promise to continue to support the growth of Islam, especially in areas that concern the welfare and education of women and children,” she assured.
Alhaja Fowewe also appreciated her family members, friends, and all guests who came to celebrate with her, praying that Allah would reward everyone abundantly.
Speaking at the event, Alhaja Fatimah Animashahun (Lari Gold), one of the distinguished guests, also a friend to Alhaja Fowewe, commended the new Oloriaje Obinrin Musulumi Ilu Egba for her exemplary character, philanthropy, and steadfastness in faith.
She described Alhaja Fowewe as a woman of substance and compassion whose leadership will inspire many others to serve humanity through Islam.
The celebration continued at a colourful reception held at Mafis Royal International Hotel, Abeokuta, where guests were treated to sumptuous delicacies, lively music, and a lot of fun.
